St Francis de Sales is the only R-12 Catholic co-educational College located in the heart of Mount Barker. We all want our children to ’discover their passion’ and be happy in who they are within a productive and supported learning environment.
As a community, we work in partnership with families by providing opportunities to support the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and wellbeing of their children.
At St Francis de Sales College, students may elect to undertake VET courses in Years 10 to 12 to assist in completing their SACE and to commence future pathways of education and employment. Students are supported in their choices by both a VET and Careers Coordinator.
St Francis de Sales College is part of the Adelaide Hills Student Pathways (AHSPs), a group of eight member schools in the Adelaide Hills who work together to provide Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities. Students from member schools have priority in being placed in AHSPs courses; however, students from non-member schools can apply to do courses.
Students from St Francis de Sales College may also choose from courses outside the AHSPs group, should they have an interest in a course not hosted by one of the member schools.
In addition to VET courses, students are also supported to enter School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships and provided assistance with networking with Group Training Providers and potential employers.
As part of the Catholic Education SA STEM Learning Initiative, STEM vocational pathways have been included under the Students tab for all VET courses listed in the CESA Directory. The website contains detailed information about Registered Training Organisations (RTO) and Accredited courses. Contact the VET and Careers Coordinators at your schools for further information.
