St Patrick's Technical College is one of South Australia's leading trade and technical high schools training the next generation of workers.
More than 850 St Pat's Tech students have secured School-based Apprenticeships in companies such as BHP, Century Engineering, FINO Seppeltsfield, ASC, Master Plumbers and Stratco since 2007.
St Patrick's Technical College is a specialist senior secondary trades and technical high school located in Northern Adelaide, part of the Edinburgh North Smart Industries Precinct.
Established by the Australian Government in 2007 and today operated by Catholic Education SA, the College offers a Year 11 and 12 SACE curriculum that incorporates technical qualifications and is delivered in partnership with TAFE SA - with contextualised STEM-rich subjects in eight industry programs.
The College works closely with local employers and industry bodies, to ensure that our programs remain contemporary and relevant to their workforce development requirements.
The College is South Australia's first P-TECH school, participating in this $5.1 million Australian Government program to provide industry supported pathways to further education, training and employment for students in South Australia's defence industries.
VET & Vocational Learning offerings
All St Patrick’s Technical College pre-vocational courses are accredited and audited by TAFE SA under a formal partnership agreement. As part of the partnership with TAFE SA, students are issued nationally recognised Qualifications and Statements of Attainment for trade training undertaken at the College.
Along with pre-vocational courses, the College also runs White Card and First Aid Training courses for students and regularly hosts trade-specific training on topics such as heat stress on the job site, asbestos awareness and environmentally friendly work practices.
